Riding on Mazda’s rear biased Skyactiv Multi Solution Scalable Architecture, it has a long nose, short tail silhouette with black roof rails, honeycomb grille and available 21 inch alloy wheels that give it a sportier look. The cabin seats five and blends Japanese craftsmanship with modern technology: remote folding rear seats and a sub trunk yield 39.6 cu ft of cargo space (76.3 cu ft with the rear seats folded), while dual 12.3 inch displays, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, Alexa built in, Bose audio and available Nappa leather upholstery create an upscale environment. Three electrified drivetrains are offered—a 3.3 L mild hybrid turbo inline six with 280 hp, a more powerful 340 hp Turbo S version and a plug in hybrid that pairs a 2.5 L gasoline engine with an electric motor for 323 hp and 26 miles of EV range; all use an eight speed automatic transmission, rear biased i Activ AWD and Mi Drive modes with Kinematic Posture Control.
