Searching for a vehicle

Filters, ZIP-radius search, and saving listings.

How do I filter by location?

Enter your ZIP code in the Location filter on the marketplace and pick a radius (10–500 miles). We use a geo index so you only see listings within that distance from your ZIP.

Can I filter by multiple makes or body styles at once?

Yes. Each filter accepts multiple values — pick all the makes, body styles, fuel types, transmissions, and drive types you want and we OR them together within each category and AND them across categories.

Why are some sort options slower than others?

Sorting by price or mileage requires the database to order matching results. We have indexes on those fields, so it should still be fast — but combining a sort with several filters can take a couple of seconds at scale.

How fresh are the listings?

Inventory feeds from dealerships are pulled multiple times per day. Each listing shows when it was first listed and when the data was last refreshed.

Contacting a dealer

How communication works and what we never do.

Do I message dealers through Carlify?

Right now, no. Each listing shows the dealership’s phone number and address. You contact them directly. We never sit between you and the dealer or pass your information to anyone.

Will the dealer email me 100 follow-ups?

Not unless you give them your email. We never share contact info with dealers. If you call or visit, that’s up to you.

Is the price negotiable?

That’s between you and the dealer. We display each listing’s price quality vs the local market average so you have a benchmark before you start negotiating.

Do I need an account to browse?

No. Searching, filtering, and viewing listings is fully open. Accounts are only useful if you want to save listings or set up search alerts (coming soon).

What data do you store about me?

If you don’t make an account: nothing personally identifying. If you enter a ZIP, we cache it for the session so the radius filter stays applied as you navigate. We never sell data.

Can I delete my account?

Yes — go to Settings → Profile and use Delete account. We remove your record and all associated data within 30 days.

For dealerships

How do I list my inventory on Carlify?

Email [email protected] with your dealership name, location, and the format of your inventory feed (XML, JSON, or CSV). Most franchise dealers’ existing feeds work without changes.

Is there a per-listing fee?

No. Carlify is currently free for dealers — no posting fees, no lead fees, no subscriptions. We may introduce optional premium placement later.

How do I update my dealership profile?

Reach out to [email protected] with your dealership ID. We are building a dealer portal — expected later this year.
