All Macan engines are linked to Porsches excellent PDK seven-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The GTS, which has 20 extra horsepower and a tighter chassis, made the run to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. The Macan is unquestionably more engaging and livelier than almost any other crossover on the road, and many cars, for that matter. Quickness is important in an SUV with sporting intentions, but we wouldn't be nearly as impressed with the Macan if it weren't for its all-around competence on the road. The ride is wonderfully smooth and carefully controlled, and its rare for a bump to make its way up through the cabin. Porsches infotainment system is easy to use and quick to respond. With USB ports and 12-volt outlets sprinkled throughout the cabin, driver and passengers alike should be able to keep their devices fully charged.
