Its prominent grille and neatly creased sheetmetal imitate stylish siblings such as the Audi Q8, and those complimentary aesthetics continue inside. Every Q3 has a spacious front seat and classy interior that provide myriad luxury niceties. The Q3's cabin addresses all of our complaints about that of the outgoing model, with a much improved driving position, a user-friendly layout of its controls, and finer materials. Its standout standard features include a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, heated front seats with eight-way power adjustments and lumbar support for the driver. Audi covers the small SUV basics well too. The Q3 is roomy for four adults and comfortable on the highway. The interior also impresses with solid construction and high-quality materials. The rear door openings are wide enough to easily lean in and set up rear-facing car seats. The car seat anchors are simple to access, and there are three back anchors for overhead security. No gaps, creaks or cheap plastics here. The surfaces inside the Q3 are tastefully put together and great to the touch. Its raised ride height and Q model name might suggest SUV, but we found the Q3 to be more of a tall hatchback thanks to its taut handling and potent turbo power. The 2.0-liter turbo-4 makes 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, pushing the Audi along to 60 mph in 7.0 seconds. All-wheel drive comes standard, as does an 8-speed automatic transmission. Despite its nearly 4,000-pound curb weight, the Q3 scoots and handles almost like a hot hatchback. The 2020 Audi Q3 features trademark German quality and a useful interior. Automakers can't seem to agree on what constitutes a small crossover SUV, as the Q3 is significantly larger than some of its closest competitors like the Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class. Nearly all of that extra space has been allocated to rear leg room and cargo space, a welcome addition in our eyes.
