Kia offers an optional battery warmer and heat pump to mitigate the loss of battery capacity and range in cold temperatures. This Kia comes with an 11-kW onboard charger. Using Level 2 charging, you can get a full charge in less than seven hours. You can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in about 45 minutes with DC fast charging (Level 3). According to Kia, it takes more than two full days to charge the Niro EV using a 120-volt household-style power outlet, which is why they don't recommend this method.
