Like its gas-only counterpart, the RX Hybrid delivers luxury and comfort in spades, adding fuel efficiency as the cherry on top. The RX450h+ plug-in hybrid comes with an 18.1-kWh battery pack and a 6.6-kWh onboard AC charger. Lexus says it can be recharged in about two and a half hours on a 240-volt connection, and a full battery is said to offer up to 37 miles of electric-only driving, per the EPA. All RX Hybrids are two-row, five-seat affairs, with plentiful passenger space in both the front and rear seats. The 2025 Lexus RX boasts a classy-looking interior and continues the brand's tradition of expertly built luxury vehicles. It also gets good fuel economy and comes with a lot of features. The sharp-looking 14-inch touchscreen display is a highlight thanks to its clean graphics and quick responses. Another benefit of the large center display is the crystal-clear backup camera. It makes maneuvering the RX in tight confines a snap. Our test vehicle was also equipped with the 21-speaker Mark Levinson audio system. Enormously powerful with excellent clarity, it's well worth the upgrade. True to its Lexus values, the RX Plug-In Hybrid (or RX 450h+) takes soft, serene ride comfort to another level. The EPA hasnt released fuel economy estimates for the 2025 RX Plug-In Hybrid, but Lexus says the SUV gets 35 mpg combined (33 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway) in gas/hybrid mode and 83 MPG-equivalent in electric/hybrid mode. Lexus also claims the RX 450h+ can travel up to 37 miles on electric power, more than rivals like the Volvo XC90 Recharge and the Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring (32 miles and 27 miles, respectively). Genuine leather and open-pore wood trim punctuate the elegant cabin, while wide, comfortable seats, surprisingly shaped and sculpted in back, take the ache out of daily commuting and long-distance fatigue. The RX PHEV seats five people in ample comfort, with similar or more front and rear legroom than most competitors.
