Propelled by a 450-horsepower twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 bolted to a 10-speed automatic transmission, it rides on a Raptor-exclusive, physics-defying, long-travel suspension incorporating available Fox Dual Live Valve dampers and standard 35-inch tires (37s are available) that somehow also delivers a buttery smooth ride on the pavement. Beneath the F-150 Raptor's hood, is the familiar high-output version of Ford's 450-hp twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6. It breathes through a 3.0-inch exhaust system that gives the V-6 a deep growl. Every Raptor rides on a sophisticated suspension that includes Fox internal-bypass dampers and a five-link rear coil-spring setup. The Raptor's cabin enjoys the same design layout and passenger space as the regular F-150 SuperCrew. The Ford Raptor is an amazing off-roader that's also packed with modern features. It's a trophy truck for the streets. The Raptor's seats are comfortable for even the longest of journeys. There is a wide range of adjustability, plenty of lumbar support, and decent bolstering to hold you in place. How's the tech? The F-150 offers many impressive tech features and the Raptor gets most of them as standard. The 12-inch center touchscreen and digital gauge cluster are attractive and easy to use. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration is standard, as are advanced driver aids such as adaptive cruise control and blind-spot warning with trailer coverage. The Raptor gets the job done when it comes to providing an intimidatingly large footprint and heaps of off-roading capability. There's almost nowhere this truck can't go.
