This process takes about 13 hours for the smaller standard battery. Using the Charge Station Pro, Ford estimates an 8-hour charge time for the extended-range models, but a slightly lengthier 10 hours for the standard-range models. Using a 150-kW DC fast charger like the ones in Ford's BlueOval charging station network, Ford estimates you can juice the extended-range F-150 Lightning from 15% to an 80% charge in 41 minutes (44 minutes for the standard battery). If you can only find a 50-kW charger, those numbers rise to 122 and 91 minutes, respectively. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the 2024 F-150 a five-star overall safety rating, and this Ford boasts lots of standard safety features. These include forward automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
