Our History in Houston The Smith family started in the automotive business in 1917 in Yorktown, TX. W.C. Smith moved to the Houston area and partnered with the Russell family in 1965 to form Russell & Smith Ford Inc., originally located at 2201 Main Street in downtown Houston and established in 1937 by John Ivy and Lindsey G. Russell.
