Vatland Honda

For well over 30 years, the Vatland Honda family has been serving Vero Beach and all of Indian River County including Fort Pierce, Port St. Lucie, Sebastian, Palm Bay and Fellsmere FL. Mr. Olaf V. Vatland opened Vatland Oldsmobile in 1970. At that time, it was located at the corner of US 1 and 20th Street in Vero Beach. After Mr. Olaf Vatland’s passing in 1974, his son Robert J. Vatland, took over the dealership and became the youngest Oldsmobile Dealer in the United States. Under the leadership of Robert Vatland, the dealership saw continued success; and in 1976 Vatland Oldsmobile took on the additions of Pontiac and GMC. In the early 1990’s, Vatland grew again with the addition of Honda to the lineup. In March 2007, Vatland officially opened its new and present location at 700 US Hwy 1 Vero Beach, FL. Around the same time, General Motors was experiencing some troubles and wanted to consolidate its franchises.
